If you answered YES to these questions, then being an Interpreter in Manning Park is for you!</p><p><br></p><p><b><u>Job Requirements:</u></b></p><p>The successful applicants will create and deliver a variety of interpretive programs, including guided walks, activity programs, touch tables, special events, and evening amphitheatre programs. Successful applicants will have a high degree of knowledge and understanding of the flora and fauna found in E.C. Manning Provincial Park. They will be self-motivated, responsible, and possess a valid driver’s licence. They will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working with children or teaching. Experience with art, music and/or drama is beneficial.</p><p>Applicants must be reasonably fit and able to lift 80 pounds. Preference is given to applicants who are members of Interpretation Canada. Partial funding for the program may be through the Federal Summer Student grants. Current students who are planning to return to school in the fall are encouraged to apply, but all applicants are welcome.</p><p><b><u>Accommodations:</u></b></p><p>Rent-free housing is available in the Manning Park Resort staff housing community for a reasonable utilities fee of $170 bi-weekly. Whether it’s getting our guest rooms ready, cleaning common areas of the resort, or working in laundry operations, this role requires flexibility in working in all areas of our accommodations department. Variety and cross-training are key components of this position. We are looking for someone that would like to focus and specialize in the janitorial operations of the housekeeping department.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><u><b>Responsibilities include: (but not limited to):</b></u></p><p>* Ensure the lodge, Loon Lagoon (pool &amp; fitness facility), restaurant, banquet rooms, washrooms and hallways are cleaned to a high standard daily.</p><p>* General cleaning of offices, public areas including; vacuuming/sweeping/mopping/dusting/ sanitizing walkways and stairways, dusting and wiping down high touch surfaces, washing windows, removing garbage</p><p>* Perform general outdoor cleaning duties, including snow removal from building entrances in the winter.</p><p>* Clean rooms, cabins, &amp; chalets to a high standard and within time given.
